It is located along I-85, providing easy access in and out of town and a convenient commute to cities in the Triad region and the rest of the state. The town has a population of about 7,000, providing a small-town feel desirable for many. However, proximity to High Point and other Triad cities puts plenty of opportunities for shopping, dining, entertainment and employment within reach for Trinity residents. Trinity is also located near Archdale, another small town less than three miles away, and the two subsequently share resources and attractions. Trinity residents frequent Archdale’s 100-acre Creekside Park, featuring picnic shelters, athletic fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, a disc golf course, and walking trails.

Trinity is home to the headquarters of Sealy Corporation, one of the largest makers of bedding products in the country. Additionally, many residents commute in and out of High Point for employment. Trinity is proud of its history, evident in buildings such as the Trinity Museum, a beautiful property built in the 1850s that formerly served as the home of Dr. Thomas L. Winslow, and now operates as a museum. Zimmerman Vineyards is a 140-acre winery located just south of Trinity at the foot of the scenic Mount Shepherd.

History
After the American Revolution, approximately 25 families lived in the area now known as Trinity. After more people moved to Trinity, a school was constructed in 1835, named Brown’s Schoolhouse. The headmaster of the school was a Quaker by the name of M. Frazier, who eventually established his own school called Frazier’s School House, which continued for 50 years.
In 1838, local schools combined efforts to form a new boarding school, which eventually became Trinity Academy. After several name changes, the institution was finally called Trinity College, and the community was therefore incorporated as the town of Trinity. Trinity College relocated to Durham 24 years later and changed its name to Duke University. The town of Trinity kept its name despite the move, and is today a thriving small town proud of its history.
